Boundless Mindset

I’m starting Interstellar Basketball because I see a real need for change in the basketball culture, especially here in Parma, Ohio. The basketball scene in this area has developed a bad reputation—whether it’s the lack of proper development for young players, the absence of real mentorship, or simply the fact that many kids aren’t being given the opportunities they deserve. There’s talent here, but without the right guidance and support, most of these kids will never get the chance to reach their full potential. I know firsthand what it means to put in the work and chase a dream, and I want to create an environment where young athletes can do the same without barriers holding them back.

One of the biggest issues in today’s basketball world is the rising cost of AAU programs. AAU has become extremely expensive, making it nearly impossible for some kids—especially those from lower-income families—to even have a shot at competing at a high level. That’s why at Interstellar Basketball, our goal is to be a nonprofit AAU organization that gives every dedicated kid a real chance to chase their dreams. We are building a program with volunteer staff who share the same vision: coaching the next generation to be great, helping them develop skills with no limit, and instilling in them the work ethic needed to succeed on and off the court. We’re not in this for the money; we’re in this for the players, for the game's future, and for the kids who are willing to put in the work but just need someone to believe in them.

One of the biggest challenges we are embracing at Interstellar Basketball is funding our program entirely through donations. We know this won’t be an easy path, but we’re committed to making it work because we believe no child should be denied the opportunity to play and learn due to financial constraints. Too many talented kids are being left behind simply because they can’t afford the rising costs of AAU basketball. That’s not right, and that’s why we’re taking a different approach. By relying on donations and community support, we can ensure that every kid who is dedicated to the game has a chance to compete, grow, and chase their dreams without money being the deciding factor.

We fully accept the challenging road that comes with this mission. It won’t be easy, but the reward is far greater than the struggle. We are here to build a program that’s not about profit but about passion—passion for the game, passion for development, and passion for giving these kids the opportunities they deserve. At Interstellar Basketball, we aren’t just focused on creating great players; we’re focused on shaping hardworking, disciplined individuals who understand the value of dedication and perseverance. We want these kids to learn, play, and grow, knowing that someone believes in them and is willing to invest in their future.
